I just read this paper:
Interventions That Affect Gender Bias in Hiring: A Systematic Review Carol Isaac, PhD, PT, Barbara Lee, PhD, and Molly Carnes, MD, MS Academic Medicine, 84(10), 1440-1446.
It is a review, with some meta-analysis, of published, randomized controlled studies aimed at reducing gender bias in hiring. I'm not sure who is handling hiring practices (is anyone?).
It summarizes some great ideas for preventing bias in the hiring process and some tips for women who are job hunting.
Also, the new U of R library search is amazing! Just past in the title of the paper and it finds it. It is only a couple of clicks to get to the paper and if you are working from home, it automatically asks you to authenticate.
