Unfortunately, we do not (yet) have recent data on women academic staff in STEM disciplines. That being said, the UCASS survey results are now out and within a couple of months we should have the disaggregated data necessary to answer your question. In the meantime, here are a few resources, you may find interesting:

UCASS first preliminary results were out yesterday. It was mainly a release on salaries and gender. More information will follow in the next months.
